Gurgaon, September 15: Gurgaon Police have arrested Kalyan Bainsla, the car driver accused of hitting a woman biker on Golf Course Road, after adding an attempt-to-murder charge to the case.

Gurgaon Biker Hit-and-Run: Kalyan Bainsla ArrestedAccording to Gurgaon Police Commissioner Sibash Kabiraj, Bainsla was arrested from Rajgarh in Rajasthan. Police are expected to bring the accused to Gurugram for further investigation.
The case relates to an alleged Gurgaon biker hit-and-run incident that took place on Golf Course Road. A video of the incident went viral on social media on Monday, prompting Gurgaon Police to take suo motu cognisance and begin an investigation.
Attempt-to-Murder Charge Added
During the investigation, police examined CCTV footage from the area and reviewed the circumstances surrounding the collision. Based on the findings, investigators added Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) to the FIR. The provision deals with attempt to murder and carries a punishment of up to 10 years, according to police.
The FIR was registered at the Sector 56 police station in connection with the incident.
Who Is Kalyan Bainsla?
Police identified Kalyan Bainsla as the accused car driver. Bainsla is a gym owner who describes himself as an international kabaddi player.
During questioning, he reportedly told police that he was travelling with his sister and two cousins when the incident occurred.
Police Investigate Viral Video
The investigation gained momentum after footage of the alleged collision surfaced on social media and was widely circulated. Police subsequently examined available CCTV recordings and other evidence to establish what happened on Golf Course Road.
The arrest comes after police intensified efforts to identify and locate the accused driver.
Gurgaon Police Issue Warning
Gurgaon Police have also issued a stern warning against attempts to take the law into one’s own hands. The police said that any such action would not be tolerated and stressed that the matter would be dealt with through the legal process.
